On Saturday September 7, 2019 Illinois Humanities partnered with Sullivan Gallery to produce a day of activation and programming for the Envisioning Justice exhibition. This intensive, fun, and multi-faceted day of programming drew together some of the organizations and individuals most dedicated to dismantling the inequities in our criminal justice system and to creating a more just Chicago.
This event was made possible through wonderful partnerships with SAIC Sullivan Galleries, BBF Family Services, Bright Star Community Outreach, Inc. (BSCO), Circles & Ciphers, Free Write Arts & Literacy, Just Art, the #LetUsBreathe Collective, OPEN Center for the Arts, Alternatives to Calling the Police During Mental Health Crises, The Nap Ministry, New to You Thrift Shop and many others.
